About us
The Movie Company was established in 1999 as a post-production company, and in 2005, the owner and agent of the company became Adam Dvořák. He launched the company’s production activities with the 2005 film, The Rafters. This film was very successful (the film with the greatest turnout in cinemas in 2006), and later, even a remake of it was filmed in France.
During its existence, the company has realised eight feature films. Furthermore, it has participated in the post-production of another 30 films in cinematic distribution. All films were very successfully distributed at home and abroad. With the Fall of the Innocent (Lidice) project, the company moved on to big-budget historical films.
In the future, the company wishes to focus more on co-production and European projects in order to expand its scope of distribu-tion. Producer Adam Dvořák participates in co-production markets in order to strengthen this intent of European film production to the maximum degree.
